BIG TALK - DILEMMAS

Over the last two weeks we have read Clarice Bean That's Me by Lauren Child and part of The Suitcase Kid by Jacqueline Wilson. Both Clarice and Andy from The Suitcase Kid had issues or dilemmas to deal with.

BIG TALK HOMEWORK
Watch the short animated film One Man Band. What dilemma is the little girl facing?

Discuss with someone at home who you would give the money to and why? Would it be the musician or the jester? Who is the most persuasive?

Feel free to comment below on how you would resolve the girl's dilemma!

What should I do?

  2. This is a hard dilemma to make. The musician was there first, but the jester was funnier. In the end, I would give the money to the fountain. That way the girl can have a wish. Both the adults were mean to each other, so don't really deserve the coin! By Ben

  3. I would definitely give the money to the musician beacuse he was there first and the jester was disrepectful by playing at the same time and interrupting him! By Julia

  4. I would give the money to the musician because he has more talent than the jester! He was playing so many instruments at the same time...and he was there first! By Mariana

  5. I would give the money to the musician because he was the first to get the girl's attention and the jester was very selfish because he played in another place! By Kelli

  6. What a hard choice! When the little girl received all the money at the end, I wouldn't have kept all of it. She should have given one to the jester and one to the musician. By Felipe

  7. I think the musician should receive the money because he was there first, you saw him first, he started playing first... Just as she was about to put the money in the musician's pot, the jester started playing and ruined it for him! By Joaquin

  8. I would give the money to the fountain as was my intention from the beginning! I would tell the musician and the jester that I would wish for them to earn a lot of money that day. Even though I liked the musician more because he made my laugh, I would not give the money to him as I would feel sorry for the jester! By Maria Laura

  10. I would have thrown the coin in the fountain! The two men were fighting so they really didn't deserve the money. If she had thrown it in the fountain she could have made a wish too. By Matthew

  11. I think the musician should get the money because the jester was rude and a pest and stopped the girl fro giving her money to the jester in the first place! By Diego
